Panel Mount & PCB Mount Sockets
Panel mount and PCB mount sockets in 2.1 and 2.5mm center pin sizes. Panel mount type can be mounted into a maximum panel thickness of 3.1mm, however, if they are to be mated with screw-locking plugs, panel thickness should be less than this so the screw is left protruding for the plug to fix to. The sockets have a sleeve/shunt function that permits automatic switchover from a.c. to d.c. when the plug is inserted or withdrawn. The split center pins are shaped to hold the mating plug firmly. Rated for 5A, conductor termination is via solder tags.
